In response to the Request for Proposal (RfP) for this project, RECTPCL received 20 Financial Bids and based on the recommendations of the Bid Evaluation Committee (BEC), the Board of Directors of RECTPCL in its Meeting held on December 15, 2010, approved the name of Consortium of M/s. Patel Engineering Ltd, M/s. Simplex Infrastructure Ltd. & M/s. BS TransComm Ltd. as successful bidder for issuance of Letter of Intent (LOI) for above project and Letter of Intent has been issued to successful bidder on December 16, 2010. Subsequently, the Board of Directors of Rural Electrification Corporation Limited (REC) in its meeting held on December 16, 2010, has approved a proposal for sale and transfer of 50,000 Equity Shares of Raichur Sholapur Transmission Company Limited (RSTCL), presently held by REC Transmission Projects Company Limited (RECTPCL) and its nominees, to Consortium of M/s Pate! Engineering Ltd, M/s. Simplex Infrastructure Ltd. & M/s. BS TransComm Ltd. and their nominees, substantially upon the terms & conditions as detailed in the Share Purchase Agreement to be executed between the RECTPCL, RSTCL and Consortium led by M/s. Patel Engineering Limited for establishment of Transmission System Associated with Krishnapattnam UMPP-Synchronous interconnection between SR and WR (Part-B) Raichur-Sholapur 765kV S/C line-I", subject to obtaining necessary approval from the Ministry of Power. |
